Are there any differences between the Japanese and English versions of the arcade titles included in MARVEL vs. CAPCOM Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics?

Some characters' names and available characters differ for some of the arcade titles.

Can I create a backup of my save data?

Backups of save data can be created using the following instructions depending on platform.

Nintendo Switch

You can create a backup of your save data by using Save Data Cloud.
*A Nintendo Switch Online membership is required to access Save Data Cloud. For more details, please contact the manufacturer of the console.

PlayStation 4

You can create a backup of your save data by uploading it to the PlayStation Plus online storage.
*A PlayStation Plus membership is required to access the PlayStation Plus online storage. For more details, please contact the manufacturer of the console.

Steam

You can create a backup of your save data by uploading it to Steam Cloud.
*Operations are not guaranteed with save data backups that were created from your local storage.

 

Game Content

Is the game content the same as other platform versions?

There are partial differences due to the specifications for the hardware and controllers, but the basic game contents are the same. Major differences between the hardware are listed below.

Nintendo Switch

  • Resolution: 1080p on TV mode, 720p on handheld mode.
  • Supports local multiplayer.

PlayStation 4

  • Resolution: 1080p
  • Supports trophy feature
  • Support Share Play, livestreaming, and sharing features of the screenshots and videos during gameplay

Steam

  • Resolution and Display settings can be changed from "PC Settings" in-game
  • Resolution: 2160p
    • Available resolution settings may vary depending on your graphics board.
  • Supports mouse and keyboard controls
  • Supports Steam achievements feature

Are there any differences in the game depending on the regional versions?

All regional versions contain the same game contents. However, you can change ROM versions for each arcade titles included in the game, and there are partial differences between the Japanese ROMs and English ROMs.

Can I play online with other players on different platforms?

No, you can only play online with other players on the same platform.
